About This Soundtrack

The 2026 British drama and mystery series Two Weeks in August, broadcasting on BBC One and BBC iPlayer, is a gripping psychological drama created and written by Catherine Shepherd. Set on a remote Greek island, the show centers on Zoe (Jessica Raine) and her friends whose idyllic reunion spirals out of control following an illicit kiss. Often described as the BBC's answer to The White Lotus, the eight-part series explores midlife crises, paranoia, and deep-seated betrayals.

A key driver of the show's intense and surreal atmosphere is its original score, composed by the Emmy-nominated Ariel Marx. The American composer blends classical strings with modern synth-driven pulses and unusual acoustic layers to match the characters' emotional undoing. In addition to Marx's score, the show features an eclectic licensed soundtrack curated by music supervisor Matt Biffa, helping to ground the scenic Mediterranean backdrop in psychological unease.
