About the Composer(s)
Christophe Beck (born November 30, 1972) is a highly prolific and versatile Canadian composer renowned for his music in blockbuster comedies, action films, and animated features. An alumnus of the USC Thornton School of Music, Beck achieved early fame by winning an Emmy Award for his outstanding score for the cult series Buffy the Vampire Slayer. He has since composed music for numerous beloved films, including Disney's global sensation Frozen, Ant-Man and its sequels, Edge of Tomorrow, The Hangover trilogy, and the acclaimed romantic comedy Crazy, Stupid, Love. Nick Urata is an acclaimed American composer and the frontman of the indie rock band DeVotchKa. He is famous for his deeply emotive, folk-infused cinematic scores, with notable credits including Little Miss Sunshine (which earned a Grammy nomination), Ruby Sparks, Focus, and collaborating on Crazy, Stupid, Love. Urata's and Beck's score beautifully captures the film's whimsical comedic timing and rich emotional depth.

- Spandau Ballet Serenade: The scene where Cal (Steve Carell) attempts to reconcile with Emily (Julianne Moore) by playing Spandau Ballet's classic ballad 'True' in their backyard is a direct and humorous nod to classic 80s teen romance movies like Say Anything.
- Thievery Corporation Double: The bar's chic, upscale atmosphere is heavily defined by Washington D.C. electronic duo Thievery Corporation, who have two separate tracks featured: 'The Numbers Game' and 'The Heart's A Lonely Hunter'.
- Acclaim for Ryan Gosling: Ryan Gosling received a Golden Globe nomination for Best Actor in a Motion Picture Musical or Comedy for his charismatic performance as Jacob Palmer.

About the Movie
Cal Weaver is living the American dream: a good job, a beautiful house, great children, and a marriage to his high school sweetheart, Emily. However, Cal's seemingly perfect life completely unravels when he learns that Emily has been unfaithful and wants a divorce. Over forty, suddenly single, and completely out of touch with modern romance, Cal spends his nights wallowing in self-pity at a local upscale bar. There, he crosses paths with Jacob Palmer, a handsome, self-styled player who takes pity on Cal. Jacob decides to take him under his wing, giving him a complete makeover and teaching him the art of seducing women. As Cal successfully reinvents himself, his newfound dating life intersects with his daughter Hannah's sudden romance with Jacob, his teenage son Robbie's unrequited crush, and Cal's own lingering feelings for Emily, culminating in a chaotic, heartfelt exploration of the crazy, stupid nature of love.
