About the Movie

Cal Weaver is living the American dream: a good job, a beautiful house, great children, and a marriage to his high school sweetheart, Emily. However, Cal's seemingly perfect life completely unravels when he learns that Emily has been unfaithful and wants a divorce. Over forty, suddenly single, and completely out of touch with modern romance, Cal spends his nights wallowing in self-pity at a local upscale bar. There, he crosses paths with Jacob Palmer, a handsome, self-styled player who takes pity on Cal. Jacob decides to take him under his wing, giving him a complete makeover and teaching him the art of seducing women. As Cal successfully reinvents himself, his newfound dating life intersects with his daughter Hannah's sudden romance with Jacob, his teenage son Robbie's unrequited crush, and Cal's own lingering feelings for Emily, culminating in a chaotic, heartfelt exploration of the crazy, stupid nature of love.
