About This Soundtrack
Premiering on ABC TV and ABC iview on July 19, 2026, the Australian six-part crime drama series Treasure & Dirt is an adaptation of Chris Hammer's bestselling 2021 outback mystery novel. Directed by Madeleine Gottlieb and Dylan River, the story centers on Sydney homicide detective Ivan Lucic (Michael Dorman) and young outback constable Nell Buchanan (Liv Hewson) as they investigate a gruesome murder in an isolated opal mining community.
The soundtrack for Treasure & Dirt features a tense, sun-soaked original score composed by APRA-award winner Jackson Milas. Combining rustic acoustic guitars, ambient synth drones, and environmental percussion, the score underscores the arid atmosphere and hidden corruption of the outback.
