About This Soundtrack
The 2026 Netflix romantic comedy Office Romance, directed by Ol Parker (Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again, The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel), stars Jennifer Lopez as Jackie Cruz, the iron-fisted CEO of a fictional airline called Air Cruz, and Brett Goldstein as Daniel Blanchflower, the charming British lawyer who walks through her doors and promptly dismantles her strict no-fraternization policy. Written by Goldstein and Joe Kelly, the film leans into R-rated comedy territory, blending sharp workplace humor with a genuinely felt central romance. Grounding the whole production musically is composer Michael Andrews, whose original score â released under the title Office Romance (Soundtrack from the Netflix Film) â accompanies a curated selection of licensed tracks spanning classic soul, Britpop, funk, and indie.
The licensed soundtrack is a confident mix of crowd-pleasers and deeper cuts. Keane's Somewhere Only We Know sets the film's emotional tone in the trailer, while Hot Chocolate's You Sexy Thing and Taylor Dayne's Tell It to My Heart bring the feel-good 80s energy that defines the film's lighter moments. Mazzy Star's Fade into You adds a slow-burning emotional weight during one of the film's key scenes, and Donna Summer's Dim All the Lights and the Fine Young Cannibals' She Drives Me Crazy keep the rhythm energetic throughout. Sharon Van Etten's Come Back and Olivia Dean's live cover of You Can't Hurry Love round out the selection with more contemporary, bittersweet choices. Latin-flavored tracks from Sr. Ortegon, El Caribefunk, and Yasser Tejeda nod to Jennifer Lopez's cultural identity and add a distinctive texture to the mix.
Michael Andrews' original score runs to 18 cues, each tied closely to specific characters and situations. Titles like Jackie's Morning, Stinkeye Sydney, and Following Daniel reflect the film's comedy-first sensibility, while In Another Life, Before It's Too Late, and We're Done show a more sincere emotional side. Andrews uses light orchestration built around piano, strings, and playful woodwind details to mirror the shifting dynamic between Jackie and Daniel. This page is the complete song guide and soundtrack reference for Office Romance, with every track â licensed songs and score cues alike â listed chronologically alongside streaming links for Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, and YouTube.

About the Composer(s)
Michael Andrews is an American composer and musician best known for his versatile work across film, television, and music. He first gained wide recognition with his haunting, stripped-down cover of Gary Jules' version of Mad World, used to devastating effect in Richard Kelly's cult film Donnie Darko (2001), which became a genuine commercial hit in its own right. Over the following two decades, Andrews built a prolific career in screen composition, scoring everything from cult comedies and network dramas to mainstream Hollywood productions. His television credits include Community, New Girl, and Married, where his ability to write music that shifts between comedic and earnest without losing either quality made him a trusted collaborator. On the film side, he has scored projects ranging from Forgetting Sarah Marshall to Hall Pass and Horrible Bosses 2. For Office Romance, Andrews composed 18 original cues that track the rhythm of a workplace romantic comedy â light-footed and funny when the script calls for it, and quietly sincere when the story turns. The score leans on piano, gentle strings, and playful woodwinds to match the tone of director Ol Parker's film.

Did you know?
- Trailer Song: Keane's Somewhere Only We Know, one of the most-streamed Britpop ballads of all time, was chosen as the lead trailer track, establishing the film's warm, bittersweet emotional register before audiences had seen a single frame.
- Latin Flavor: Three Latin tracks, Se Fue by Sr. Ortegon, Juanita la Chismosa by El Caribefunk, and Todo Va a Marchar by Yasser Tejeda, were included in the soundtrack, reflecting Jennifer Lopez's Puerto Rican heritage and grounding Jackie Cruz's character in a distinct cultural identity.
- Score Title Card: Michael Andrews named one score cue simply Office Romance, the same as the film itself, giving the soundtrack album a neat symmetry and signaling that it functions as a standalone listen, not just background material.
- Mad World Connection: Michael Andrews, who composed the score, was the producer and co-performer behind one of the most iconic film music moments of the 2000s, the Gary Jules cover of Mad World used in Donnie Darko. Office Romance marks a sharp tonal departure, trading that film's bleakness for something far warmer.
