Gabriel Mann
βWriting music for a scene is about finding the heartbeat and letting it play.β
Gabriel Mann is an acclaimed American composer, singer-songwriter, and producer. Raised in San Antonio, Texas, Mann initially studied both pre-med and musical composition at the University of Pennsylvania before dedicating himself full-time to a career in music. He later relocated to Los Angeles to study film scoring at the University of Southern California (USC). Known for his exceptional versatility, Mann is comfortable writing both lighthearted, whimsical themes for television comedies and sweeping, emotional orchestrations for dramatic series.
Mann is perhaps best known as the long-time composer for ABC's Emmy-winning comedy series Modern Family, scoring all 11 seasons. He is also the composer for Netflix's hit romantic comedy Emily in Paris, ABC's drama series A Million Little Things, and SundanceTV's acclaimed series Rectify. In addition to his extensive television work, Mann is a resident songwriter and composer for all five seasons of Arrested Development and has contributed theme songs and scores to several Barbie animated films. He is also a member of the alternative rock band The Rescues and produced Sara Bareilles' debut studio album, Careful Confessions.
