About This Soundtrack
Directed by David O. Russell and starring Oscar winner Nicolas Cage in a deeply committed biographical role, Madden is an upcoming Amazon MGM Studios feature arriving on Prime Video on November 18, 2026. The film chronicles how NFL champion coach John Madden teamed up with Oakland Raiders owner Al Davis (Christian Bale) and EA visionary Trip Hawkins (John Mulaney) to pioneer the most influential sports video game franchise in history.
The film's musical landscape is supervised by veteran music supervisor Trygge Toven (The Fall Guy, Captain America: Civil War, Spider-Man: Homecoming), with additional music and score contributions from Memphis blues and soul maestro Scott Bomar (Dolemite Is My Name, Hustle & Flow). The official teaser trailer is electrified by Neil Young's hard-rocking classic 'Rockin' in the Free World', perfectly setting the rebellious, larger-than-life tone of Madden's legacy.

About the Composer(s)
Scott Bomar is a Grammy-nominated Memphis musician, songwriter, and film composer renowned for bringing gritty Southern soul, blues, and authentic American grooves to cinema. Best known for scoring Craig Brewer's acclaimed films Hustle & Flow, Black Snake Moan, and Dolemite Is My Name (starring Eddie Murphy), Bomar also leads the vintage Memphis instrumental soul collective The Bo-Keys. For David O. Russell's Madden, Bomar provides additional music and soulful instrumentation that reflects the rough-and-tumble spirit of 1970s and 1980s American football.

About the Movie
Madden is an upcoming biographical sports drama directed and co-written by five-time Oscar nominee David O. Russell (Silver Linings Playbook, American Hustle, The Fighter), co-written alongside Cambron Clark and produced for Amazon MGM Studios and Prime Video. The film stars Academy Award winner Nicolas Cage in a transformative lead role as the towering, charismatic NFL coaching legend and broadcaster John Madden.
Chronicles Madden's meteoric rise and subsequent burnout following a Super Bowl victory with the Oakland Raiders, the film focuses on his transformative second act. Stepping away from the sidelines, Madden joins forces with former Raiders owner Al Davis (Academy Award winner Christian Bale) and Electronic Arts visionary founder Trip Hawkins (John Mulaney). Together, against the skepticism of industry executives, they set out to build an unprecedentedly realistic 11-on-11 football simulation—creating what would become the multi-billion dollar Madden NFL gaming phenomenon that reshaped modern sports culture forever. The star-studded ensemble features Kathryn Hahn as Virginia Madden, Sienna Miller as Carol Davis, and Shane Gillis.
